Fotona NightLase® Snoring Treatment

A gentle, non-surgical approach to quieter nights

Snoring can affect more than the person who snores. It can interrupt a partner’s sleep, create frustration at bedtime, and leave both people looking for a practical solution.

At St. George Island MedSpa + Wellness, Fotona NightLase® offers an in-office laser treatment designed to reduce snoring without incisions, anesthesia, or a device worn at night. Caroline Renee Monroe, FNP-BC, FNP-C, performs every laser treatment and will assess whether NightLase® is appropriate for you.

How Does NightLase® Work?

NightLase® uses Er:YAG laser energy to gently heat tissue in the soft palate and surrounding oral airway. The treatment is designed to increase tissue firmness and reduce the vibration that contributes to snoring.

The goal is a meaningful reduction in snoring, though individual results vary. Renee will discuss your symptoms, health history, and treatment expectations before recommending a plan.

What to Expect From Treatment

NightLase® is performed in the office and does not require incisions or anesthesia. A treatment course generally involves a series of sessions; Renee will explain the number and spacing appropriate for you during your consultation.

Most patients can return to their usual activities shortly afterward. Improvement may develop over the course of treatment, and some patients may benefit from additional treatment over time.

Is NightLase® Right for You?

NightLase® may be an option if snoring is disrupting your household and you want to explore a treatment that does not involve surgery or a nightly device. A consultation helps Renee determine whether your symptoms and medical history make you a suitable candidate.

Snoring can also be a sign of obstructive sleep apnea. If you have been diagnosed with sleep apnea—or someone has noticed pauses in your breathing, gasping during sleep, or significant daytime sleepiness—seek a sleep evaluation. NightLase® does not replace that evaluation or prescribed sleep apnea treatment, including CPAP. NHLBI, NIH
