St. George Island MedSpa + Wellness operates with oversight from two Florida-based, board-certified physicians: a plastic surgeon and a primary care physician. They provide offsite clinical oversight and support the protocols that guide our medical aesthetic and wellness treatments.
Care is delivered onsite by our licensed clinical team. Caroline Renee Monroe, FNP-BC, FNP-C, is our lead provider and performs all Fotona laser treatments. She evaluates each patient’s concerns and recommends care based on clinical findings, health history, and individual goals.

Renee leads the practice’s clinical care and performs its Fotona laser treatments. She brings her nurse practitioner experience and advanced training to patient evaluations, treatment selection, and individualized care plans, working within the practice’s physician-supported protocols.

Joan developed the business plan and founding strategy for St. George Island MedSpa + Wellness. She led the decisions behind its purpose-built facility, technology investments, brand, and client experience...turning the concept into a medical aesthetics and wellness practice on the Forgotten Coast.

Caroline Renee Monroe is a dual board‑certified Family Nurse Practitioner and one of the few practitioners nationwide trained to perform the full suite of Fotona SP Dynamis laser procedures. She is also the only provider on the Forgotten Coast with advanced, multi‑disciplinary training in facial rejuvenation, neck tightening, intimate wellness lasers, non‑surgical body contouring, and regenerative medicine.
St. George Island MedSpa + Wellness is the only medspa in our region equipped with the Fotona SP Dynamis, a world‑class medical laser platform typically found in major medical centers in Miami, Tampa, and Atlanta.

She trained under world‑leading laser physicians in medical aesthetics, gynecologic laser surgery, regenerative medicine, and non‑surgical rejuvenation — completing advanced training in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, Nashville, and New York City.
Caroline’s background as a Registered Nurse in dialysis and rehabilitation shaped her evidence‑based, precision‑focused approach to aesthetics and wellness. She believes true rejuvenation begins with internal health, and she integrates functional medicine principles into every patient assessment.

Born in Vietnam and a longtime Fishers, Indiana resident, Joan brings more than 30 years of enterprise sales, marketing, and business strategy experience to St. George Island MedSpa + Wellness. A top 1% B2B national sales leader, she built her career developing complex business opportunities, earning client trust, and turning ambitious plans into measurable results.
Joan is the strategic architect behind the practice. She developed its business plan and founding strategy, identified the opportunity to bring advanced medical aesthetics to St. George Island, and guided the decisions and major investments required to build the business from the ground up.
Her vision shaped the purpose-built facility, the selection of advanced technology, the brand, and the standard of client experience. Each choice was part of a larger plan: to bring the caliber of care and setting clients might expect in a major city to a coastal community she chose to call home.
For Joan, the practice represents more than a new business. It is the result of years of strategic work and a belief that clinical expertise, thoughtful innovation, and a genuinely personal experience belong together on the Forgotten Coast.
