Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) are prepared from a sample of your own blood. They may be considered for concerns such as fine lines, skin texture, and the delicate under-eye area.
PRP and PRF are not lip fillers. They do not replace the immediate volume of a dermal filler. Their potential benefits, number of treatments, and timeline vary by person and by the concern being treated. PRP and PRF are not substitutes for lip filler when the goal is noticeable lip volume. We use them for selected regenerative facial treatments, depending on the patient’s concerns and clinical assessment.
Can PRP or PRF be used under the eyes?
They may be considered for certain under-eye skin concerns. The cause of under-eye shadows or hollows matters, and PRP or PRF will not address every cause. An assessment is the best way to determine whether treatment makes sense for you.
Are PRP and PRF risk-free because they come from my own blood?
No. They are prepared from your own blood, but treatment still involves a procedure and potential side effects. Renee will review your health history, suitability, risks, and expected results before recommending treatment.
